Profile:

      The Department of Computer Science was started in the year 2010 and offers Post-Graduate Degree programs (M.Sc in Computer Science). Master of Computer Applications (MCA) started in the year 2023-24 with 60 intake. The Pedagogy of MCA program has a practice oriented approach to learning while integrating the elements of Theory and Practice. With an advanced level curriculum in the program, the students would be provided the required skillsets necessary to excel in this technology driven business environment. Effective Industry Institute interaction is achieved through Seminars, Workshops and Guest Lectures duly inviting the Experts in the area. This encourages the professional discussion between the students and the participating managers from the industry. This also gives the students a chance to envisage their roles in the industry before hand. Enhancing the knowledge of the students by interacting with the Industry skills, and their leadership qualities.

          The Department, in principle, aims to develop research activities in all the areas of Computer Science and Technology. The curriculum is well designed by Board of Studies (BoS) constituted comprising experts from Academia and Industries. The curriculum encompasses core Computer Science courses and facilitates experiential learning.

            The Department has well experienced faculties with expertise in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Digital Image Processing, Pattern Recognition, Video and Scene Text analysis. The same specialization is also being offered for Ph.D. Programme.  Co-curricular and extra-curricular activities are conducted by the Department to enhance interpersonal and leadership qualities. Students have participated in various National and State level events. 

Duration of Course:  2 Years. 4 Semester (as per AICTE).

Eligibility:  

                 The Candidate Shall have passed in the qualifying Examination of B.C.A./ B.Sc. (Computer Science)/ B.Sc. (IT) / B.E. (CSE)/ B.Tech.(CSE) / B.E. (IT) / B.Tech. (IT) or equivalent Degree or have passed any graduation degree (e.g.: B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc / B.Com. / B.A./ B.Voc./ etc.,) preferably with Mathematics, Business Mathematics or statistics at 10+2 level or at Graduation level. For Students without Mathematics background shall have to undertake compulsorily bridge course Programme designed by the respective University/ Institution related to computer subjects as per the norms of the concerned University (as per AICTE). Where the candidate is taking admission for MCA Programme.
