DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE
Environmental Science has emerged as one of the leading fields in science subjects. Every industry like Iron and Steel, Pulp and Paper mill, Pharmaceuticals, Brewery, Food and allied industries must have Environmental Science Post Graduation qualified Environmental Officer. In view of providing an opportunity to Environmental Science and other science degree qualified students and to cater the need for industry/research, the University has introduced M.Sc. Environmental Science program in the year 2020-21 with CBCS scheme. The syllabus has been framed in accordance with the modern trends with industrial relevance, research orientation and the curriculum requirement. Department of Studies in Environmental Science has qualified dedicated skilled research-oriented faculties. The Department of Environmental Science has well pledged laboratories and ICT enabled classrooms. The department has student forum which acts as a platform for the students to showcase their talents in academic and also co-curricular activities. The department has mentor mentee system to support over all development of students. The department organizes invited talks from highly qualified resource persons and take students to field studies like ecosystems, industries and research institutions.
